Hi, I’m Kristi June French — the owner and operator of Adventure Awaits Fido! I started this business because I wanted to create the kind of place I would want my own dogs to stay. A place where they could enjoy the outdoors, make friends, and relax in a safe, peaceful environment instead of spending most of the day in a kennel run.
Before starting Adventure Awaits Fido!, I spent years as a high school English teacher. That experience taught me a lot about patience, structure, and understanding individual personalities — skills that actually translate surprisingly well to working with dogs. Dogs communicate, you just have to know how to listen.
I currently share my home with several rescue dogs of my own. Living with them has given me a deep appreciation for how different every dog can be, taught me and how important it is to create an environment where they feel comfortable and understood.
